WQDB.org is a quote database for use by the ‘Worming’ community (people who play the Worms series of games by Team17), and usually include people from the GameSurge IRC channel #worms. The site is powered by WQMS, a quote management system written by myself from scratch in PHP.
WQMS1 has been running reliably since 2009, but was in need of a rebuild from the ground up to improve visual design, site security and code readability. WQDB2 has achieved those goals, with a clean and responsive interface, HTTPS and use of audited encryption libraries, and a refined codebase using the Smarty template system and other PHP libraries managed by composer.
WQMS2 is due to go live in September 2016 on WQDB.org
