Ctrl+Alt+Donate was a 25 hour charity gaming marathon, running during on the weekend when the clocks go back. The event was run at the University of the West of England and the aim was to raise money for toys and games at Bristol Children’s Hospital.
A website was needed and developed as an aide to promote the event, as well as provide information on how to participate and what happened last year.
The website uses the Bootstrap framework, is mobile and desktop optimised, and was developed on top of the MSL content management system. The website was available from ctrlaltdonate.org as well as uwesu.org/ctrlaltdonate as a minisite.
As well as developing the website I was a core organiser and in charge of the technical running of the event, including organising networking with the university IT department and AV provisions.
The event was a success, and raised over £1000 for Bristol Children’s Hospital.
